Artist Statement
Curious by nature Andrew is constantly evolving and learning. Pencil and Watercolours paints are his favourite traditional media and he has embraced new technology using Photoshop and illustrator to develop ideas in new directions. He explores many avenues including portraiture, landscapes, still-life, and Botanical illustration embracing new challenges. He works in the pursuit of many ideals and concerns, creating paintings drawn from life and his imagination.

Feast of fools portrays the Goddess Artemis. Sant Marti d’ Empuries founded on the remains of the ancient Greek city dated to the 6th century BC. Dedicated to the Goddess Artemis of Ephesus. Goddess of light and fertility, the daughter of Zeus and Leto, The myths of Artemis appear to have begun in Anatolia with a fertility festival. Initially the focus related to the cycle of the seasons and the birth of many things.
Artist Bio
Artist Andrew Medlock was born in 1964 in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. He has worked commercially in design for thirty eight years. Over a number of years he's being creating a body of work to exhibit. His constant struggle with what he does is the need to create. His work covers many of the things he has always wished to achieve. To exhibit and show his drawings and paintings. To write a book and publish his poetry also he has composed music as a sound track to his work.
