ECOFeminism Festival
A Festival to Celebrate Nature, Women and their Empowering Connection
The Art Pavilion - London - 13-23 March 2024
ART from HEART returns to the Art Pavilion with the 2nd edition of our signature ECOFeminism Festival Celebrating Women, Nature and their Interconnections!
The Festival is inspired by the 1970’s Ecofeminism movement and addresses the nature-women relationship with today's concerns about climate change, women’s empowerment, and gender inequality. This movement has continuing relevance in a time of ecological crisis; hence, the importance of raising awareness, stimulating debate, inspiring, and educating on gender inequalities and climate change issues.
The ECOFeminism Festival runs from 13-23 March and comprises an exciting Festival Events Program, a multimedia group Exhibition 'Branches', and the ECOFeminism Short Film Festival. The Festival and Exhibition opening party is on Thu 14 Mar 2024, from 6-9 pm at The Art Pavilion, Mile End Park, London.
The Festival Events Program includes ECOPigments & ECOFeminist Banner Making workshops, Mothers & Daughters Bloom Wild workshop, Poetry Readings, Artists’ Talks, ‘Tides Confused’, a Ritual Performance by Elizabeth Salazar in collaboration with Latinx women collective Las Witchas, and the ‘Greenhouse’ performance by Internationally awarded Jordina Ros & Pere Estadella from Ditada Group.

The Exhibition 'Branches' is a celebration of the different approaches under the umbrella of contemporary Ecofeminism, advocating for an alternative worldview that values the Earth as sacred, recognizes humanity's dependency on the natural world, and embraces all life as valuable. The Exhibition will showcase the theme through the work of 51 UK and International artists working across multiple disciplines. The multimedia Group Exhibition will take place 13-17 March 2024, at the Art Pavilion, Mile End Park, London.

The ECOFeminism Short Film Festival explores Ecofeminism through the creative vision of 15 talented UK and International Filmmakers. Immerse yourself in a world of Fiction, Experimental, Dance, Animation, Drama, and Documentary short films. The Screening is on Sat 23 March, 6-8.30 pm, at the famed Genesis Cinema home to the legendary English comic actor, filmmaker, and composer, Charlie Chaplin.
