Open Call Exhibition: Mother Earth
Garage Gallery, Walthamstow E17, London
23 - 26 March 2023
We invite female and female associate Artists based in the UK to submit to our upcoming Group Art Exhibition Mother Earth - Celebrating the life-giving power of nature and women!
The Group Exhibition will take place at Garage Gallery, Art Gallery & Project Space in E17, during Women's International Month. Artists’ submissions should address Mother Earth as a female personification of nature, with a special emphasis on her life-giving, nurturing, and protective aspects.
Mother Earth is a creator and sustainer of life and a woman of power. Symbolically, it represents femininity, nurturing, growth, new life, and groundedness. We breathe oxygen, drink water, and eat food for energy because she provides these things to us. Life would not be possible without these elements.
Mother Earth also serves as an analogy to women as mothers, life-givers, bringers, nourishers, and protectors. Throughout history, women's power and energy have been associated with nature as symbols of power, wisdom, and humanity.
As a collective human family, we all share Mother Earth and have a responsibility to protect our planet and our home.
Join us to celebrate Mother Earth’s life-giving power and her wonderful gifts!
